Stimulating, Rewarding & Enjoyable
The Sydney Consulting Club (SCC) aims to bring the best opportunities to our students. We believe one of the most effective ways to develop your confidence, innovative thinking, and problem-solving and communication skills is through case competitions, where you will be exposed to real business cases from real clients. Present your solutions in front of industry experts, receive invaluable feedback to fast-track your consulting career, and have the opportunity to compete internationally. Our current case competitions are as shown below:
The university of sydney business school (usbs) case competition
The University of Sydney Business School (USBS) Case Competition was held for the first time in 2018 was highly received. This international case competition unities students across the Asia-Pacific region to participate in a 3-day competition to solve complex cases. But not only are students exposed to a range of dynamic cases, they also have the opportunity to make lifelong friends by building cross-cultural relationships in the heart of the city of Sydney.
2018 STRATEGY& CASE COMPETITION
Are you wondering what strategy consulting is all about? Are you interested in helping real clients in live cases?
Then why not have a go at solving a real business problem for real clients with Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting team. The 2018 Strategy& Case Competition, in conjunction with the UNSW Consulting Club, Sydney Consulting Club and UTS BusinessOne, is open to all students from all backgrounds.
Twenty teams (of 3-4 students) will compete in the heats round and five teams will progress to the final. All finalists will win an accelerated process for the Strategy& Winter Internship. Finalists will go straight to the consultant CV screen stage, whilst the winning team will be accelerated to the video interview stage and win a dinner with senior Strategy& leaders.
Strategy& is looking for comprehensive, original and exciting solutions. Teams are encouraged to embrace differences and include a broad range of skills and academic disciplines in their team to create a better solution. To this end, at least four spots in the heats round are guaranteed for STEM-majority teams (3 or 4 members studying STEM disciplines).
*Note - Teams are able to mix and match members between all three universities
